Kick-off meeting for Leadership and Management Course in ASCVTS
April 7 2013 (Sun)

Objective：
As professional society for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery in Asia, ASCVTS is going to launch a professional development course as a post graduate educational course in order to grow fantastic leaders who will lead the Asian cardiovascular and thoracic surgery in the next era.
AATS and EACTS has already started this kind of educational course for a few days annually.

As a kick-off meeting of ‘ASCVTS Leadership Academy’, ASCVTS is going to have an Academy Lunch at the last day of the ASCVTS meeting 2013 at Kobe.

Goal：
Growing-up of real leaders in Asia is essential in development of Asian cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. The goal of this academy lunch is that present leader and selected candidate of new leader in the next generation from all over Asia and all over the world get together and share the agenda for launching the ‘ASCVTS Academy’.

Program : 12:00 - 12:20
Keynote Lecture : Fred A. Crawford, Jr., MD (Chair of Board Directors, AATS Leadership Academy)
12:30 - 13:30 Lunch

Participants：
ASCVTS Faculty Members: 10 people
Candidates for new leaders : 30 people
10 from Asia (except for Japan)
15 from Japan
5 from other Area (AATS, EACTS, ISMICS)
These candidates should be presenters in the ASCVTS meeting 2013.
Two ASCVTS Faculty Members and 5 young leaders sit at each table.

Date：April 7, 2013 (Sun)
Place：PORTOPIA Hotel, KOBE
Fee (planned)：\ 3,000 (US$ 25)

We won’t prepare the travel grant for this academy lunch. However, we are going to provide US$ 800 travel grant as a young investigator award for several young investigators from abroad. We encourage all of participants of the academy lunch to subscribe an excellent research.

Coordinators and Contact：
JAYCS (Japanese Association of Young Cardiac Surgeons) is going to coordinate the Academy Lunch together with ASCVTS.

第65回日本胸部外科学会学術総会に併せ、第5回若手心臓外科医の会研究会を開催します。

今回は、ご存じOPCABシミュレータBEATYOUCANの開発者である、朴栄光先生を講師にお招きしました。エンジニアかつ起業家の立場から、若手心臓外科医への熱いメッセージを伝えていただきます。多数のご参加お待ちしております。

「第5回若手心臓外科医の会研究会」開催のご案内

2013年4月に開催されるASCVTSの最終日にAcademy Lunchを企画しています。高本会長と若手の会で企画しているもので、今回は第1報をご案内いたします。詳細はまだ検討中ですが、だいたい日本から20人弱の参加枠になりそうです。参加費は3000円?程度です。
第2報で詳細をお知らせします。

「ASCVTS2013 Academy lunch」開催のご案内 Initial Announce

　2012年8月25日・26日 テルモメディカルプラネックスにおいて、日本心臓血管外科学会・日本胸部外科学会共催の「心臓血管外科サマースクール2012」が行われ、JYACS 世話人から5名（岡本先生、平先生、村下先生、寺井先生、伊藤）が協力してまいりました。スクールの内容は昨年と同様ウェットラボ、ライブ手術、レクチャーなど、非常に有意義で刺激的なものばかりであったと思います。

　JAYCSからの参加者たちは1日目のウェットラボの講師から始まり、懇親会の企画進行、2日目の「心臓血管外科研修の現状」シンポジウムとフル活動して参りました。シンポジウムでは静岡病院 寺井先生（市中病院から視点で）、大阪大学 平先生（大学、医局からの視点で）、聖路加病院 伊藤（JAYCSの概略）の3人が演者として発表させて頂き、活発な討論がなされました。

　修了後のｱﾝｹｰﾄでは参加者からの感謝の言葉とともに、多数の建設的意見がでました。それらが反映され来年以降も更なる会の充実、盛り上がりが見られることは間違いないでしょう。今後も日本の心臓血管外科の未来のためJAYCSとして全力で協力させた頂く所存です。

8月25日（土）～26日（日）Terumo Medical Pranexにおいて、日本心臓外科学会・日本胸部外科学会共催にて開催されます。心臓血管外科を志す研修医・医学生対象で、2日間にわたり講義やウェットラボ、ライブ手術など多岐にわたります。
われわれ若手心臓外科学会（JAYCS）も、昨年同様に協力依頼があり、JAYCS紹介やシンポジストとして参画します。
医学生、研修医の皆さまぜひご参加ください。

２０１２年８月２５日・２６日
